APEX is currently seeking a self-motivated civilengineer to execute technical work assignmentson projects as part of a project team. The candidate will be assignedengineering tasks under the direction of more senior department staff and willbe responsible for handling day-to-day tasks that accompany representingclients.

Job Responsibilities

The position will primarily support staff andproject-level engineers in all aspects of projects includingconceptual/planning, preliminary design, detailed design, constructiondocumentation, permitting documents and engineer reports. Responsibilitiesinclude:

• Review of local municipal ordinances.
• Design of sites including but not limited to site layout, site grading, and site utilities.
• Assist the design team in preparation of plans for permitting and construction.
• Preparation of permit applications.
• Preparation of engineering reports, present technical information to demonstrate compliance with client requirements and/or regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Required Attributes

• Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum years of work experience: 0-5.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD (preferably Civil 3D).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrates the highest degree of ethical behavior.

Preferred Attributes

• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred, or in pursuit of obtaining it.
• Experience in land development.
• Willingness to work additional and/or nonstandard office hours, as required.
