Job Summary/Purpose::
The Gemini 3 Group is seeking a Director of Human Resources: who will support talent acquisition, career development, retention, training, leadership development, and compensation and benefits.
Essential Responsibilities/Functions::
  • Serve as main point of contact and liaison with company's Professional Employer Organization.
  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the firm's mission and strategic vision.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the needs of the organization.
  • - Conduct recruitment efforts for all position openings - interview, select, and make offers of employment.
    • Implement competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits plans.
    • Provide talent management guidance – lead staff development and training efforts for the organization.
    • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions).
  • - Lead employment administration - payroll review, time and attendance approval, new hire enrollment, and employee onboarding/orientation.
  • - Ensure liability compliance - required annual training programs, company handbook review, and submission of federal contractor reporting.
    • Develop, recommend, implement, and enforce personnel policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Process bi-monthly payroll
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities::
    • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
    • Above average oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
    • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.
    • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.
    • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
    • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
    • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    Required Experience::
    • Five (5) years in a supervisory HR role, preferably within defense contracting.
    Required Education, Licenses and Certifications::
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials highly desired.
    Work Environment and Physical Requirements::
    • Have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
    • Have the ability to sit for long periods of time.
