Program Manager

This is a pivotal position for our team; internal and external customers, who is focused on supporting the program and its growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex activities including development of new concepts and techniques to solve problems based on analysis and evaluation of data.
• Communicate and support internal and external resources (staff, facilities, and equipment)
• Create project milestone plans, schedules, and contract work breakdown structures as appropriate.
• Report on project budget, schedule, monitoring, and completion of goals and milestones in accordance with approved plans.
• Create and manage program platforms that will provide continuous status on workforce, budget and technical performance.
• Identify, manage, and report on KPI’s.
• Stay current with industry and market trends.
• Manage ongoing contractual project requirements (schedule, technical, and budgetary).
• Develop proposals and cost estimates for new and existing customers based on customer requirements.
• Provide strategic planning in business and workforce development.
• Oversee projects and delegate management activities to project managers when applicable.
• Maintain on-going communication with team, suppliers, customers, and leadership.
• Build consensus and motivate teams in an appropriate and respectful manner.
• Provide clear guidance and display strong leadership to internal and external customers.
• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a respectful demeanor.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and directing subject matter experts to obtain financial and customer goals. Such as bringing in IT, HR, Finance, Contracts and Security to the discussion to map out directions on how to successfully carry out missions of a contract.
• Demonstrated experience showing knowledge, skills and abilities surrounding budgets, cash flow, vendors, workforce, contracts, technical and or government customers and technology to support tasks and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD program management experience.
• Military trained and a Veteran.
• DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
• PMP Certification.
• ITILv4 Foundation certification.
• Knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 801 policies.
• Management of Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) or Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contracts.

Clearance:

• Active DoD Secret clearance

Education & Experience:

• 6-9 years’ of direct relatable experience as described under responsibilities.
• BS/BA or higher degree in Engineering, Finance or Business.
• In lieu of a degree, 4 or more years of relevant experience may suffice.

Location:

• Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
• This is a hybrid remote position based on the government customer’s approval.
• Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.

Travel:

• Travel requirements will fluctuate but are not expected to be over 15%
