About the Role:

This position will lead our content marketing strategy and develop a full range of content assets that educate, inform and communicate the value of sticky.io’s offerings to external audiences. This individual will translate company strategies and marketing initiatives into content that positions sticky.io as a thought leader in direct-to-consumer and subscription commerce. The ability to create compelling messaging and differentiated copy assets that support brand awareness, product go-to-market initiatives and demand-generation campaigns across digital channels is a core competency. Experience in SaaS and ecommerce is preferred. This role will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Management

  • Design and implement content marketing strategies with a focus on organic search-driven content (SEO) and social media content for new customer acquisition and customer upsell

  • Develop and manage a marketing editorial calendar for both short and long-form content (e.g., blogs, ebooks, social media content, etc.) that aligns with demand generation, product marketing, events marketing and sales priorities
  • Understand product and marketing strategies to build content themes and topics for targeted audiences
  • Manage relationships and deliverables with third-party vendors as necessary
  • Create robust communication plans for events, webinars, third-party research and other marketing campaigns that require team alignment
  • Manage and produce monthly customer, recurring product and internal marketing newsletters
  • Collaborate with third-party web developers and agencies to implement website updates within the content management system (Webflow) to improve SEO
  • Manage relationships with industry partners and publications to syndicate content
  • Collaborate with and build influential relationships with internal teams, delivering valuable insights and learnings to inform value propositions and future innovation
  • Identify, research and schedule content topics to position sticky.io as a thought leader in the ecommerce, payments and technology industries with target audiences
  • Stay current on industry best practices for content strategy and integrate learnings into the overall marketing strategy by applying new, innovative ideas and creative ways to tell stories through content
  • Establish and report regularly (ad-hoc, weekly and monthly) on content marketing KPIs

Content Creation:

  • Research, write and edit clear, concise, persuasive and articulate copy for sales enablement materials, blogs, byline articles, white papers, webpages, campaign emails and webinar scripts for various marketing collateral, PR initiatives and external communications channels

  • Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors to produce short-form video content
  • Collaborate with customer lifecycle and product marketing team to write, edit and promote customer case studies and testimonials
  • Collaborate with contracted designers and agency partners to align on a creative approach to content creation, finding new ways to express concepts with excellent use of written language and visual representation
  • Understand which content will target customers at the top, middle, and bottom of the funnel
  • Be forward-thinking and strategic in content promotion and distribution strategies
  • Work with the demand generation team to measure and analyze data, and learn what content drives engagement
  • Continuously maintain and improve content marketing processes, templates, style guides and brand voice

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in content management at a B2B product company (preferably in ecommerce SaaS/technology)

  • Strong ability to communicate complex ideas simply at different stages in the customer buying journey
  • Desire to learn the technical side of our platform and the ecommerce DTC industry
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing content marketing programs
  • Ability to conceive, draft, proofread and edit written materials quickly while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail both for copy editing and maintaining consistent brand voice and identity across all of our content assets
  • Knowledge and proficiency in HubSpot, Webflow, Google Analytics and/or Asana preferred
