The Aging and Adult Services Deputy Director will bring leadership and strategic direction to the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD), in partnership with the division director, and in conjunction with the Aging and Disability Services Administration (ADSA) leadership oversee the reforms, design, and implementation of AASD services and programs. Responsibilities include:
This position manages three units—the Home and Community Based Services Unit, Adult Protection Services Unit, and Finance/Operations.
The individual in this position is a cross-program AASD expert in areas ranging from prevention, service delivery, program implementation, education/communication, policy development, and execution of response initiatives. The AASD service lines include but is not limited to: Older Americans Act funding and programs; state grants and programs; Senior LinkAge Line; publicly funded home and community-based service programs including Elderly Waiver (EW), Alternative Care (AC), and Essential Community Supports (ECS); the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) and adult protective services.
Professional leadership or supervisory experience
AND
2 years of long-term services and supports experience managing Medicaid programs, including strategic planning and directing the work of staff
OR
5 years of professional leadership or supervisory experience in long-term services and supports
