JOB SUMMARY:

This is an Administrative Assistant I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process, Revenue Accounting Unit. The incumbent answers the mainline phone, directs calls to appropriate staff, opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, processes outgoing mail, scans documents, files, schedules appointments, achieves and attends staff meetings. The incumbent also enters changes in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX), specifically the Refund Case Management System.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • One year of administrative or clerical work experience.

SUBSTITUTION:

  • College education from an accredited institution may substitute for the required experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $2,875.77 monthly/$34,509.24 annually.
