Position Overview

Supporting Stanley’s Product Creation and Design organization, we are searching for a seasoned Project Manager to drive projects throughout our global product creation and development process. You’ll lead all aspects of project management from program reviews and project kickoffs to product launch. You will interface with product management, industrial design, quality assurance, engineering, sourcing, production, and supply chain teams to deliver a constant flow of innovative products that revolutionize the way people enjoy beverages and food everywhere. Your passion for working on a multitude of competing projects will inspire the product creation community to deliver an amazing array of products on challenging timelines and budgets. 

Responsibilities

  • Capture project complexity and build timelines to ensure projects are planned and staged for success. Collaborate with resource managers to ensure appropriate staffing and support on all product creation efforts
  • Ensure execution of project deliverables are aligned with brand expectations and project complexity; on time, on budget and right quality, including identifying and mitigating risk and facilitating trade-offs as needed
  • Manage the communication of project status, prioritization, and risk within project teams and to supporting departments and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Implement, continuously improve, and champion the new product creation and development processes throughout Stanley globally
  • Establish and maintain a culture of winning as a team and taking ownership throughout the product creation community

Skills/Qualifications

Demonstrated ability in the following:

  • Creating project and program plans including analysis and planning of deliverables, resources, timelines, budgets, and risk
  • Coaching cross-functional teams in a diverse, matrixed organization with tight timelines, cost, and quality targets
  • Quickly building credibility and trust at all levels of the organization for effective collaboration towards mutual outcomes
  • Developing a sense of urgency in stakeholders while also building a solid foundation for future collaboration
  • Negotiating changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project
  • Reporting project deliverables, risks, quality, resourcing, and costs to provide status and facilitate decision making
  • Continuously improving project related processes and tools through lessons learned and leveraging best practices from across the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional ability to simplify complex concepts and to bring clarity in the face of ambiguity
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong experience with Smartsheet, and other project management software

Education and Experience

  • 7 years of demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience supporting complex business and process transformation
  • Successful track record delivering in a fast-paced, agile, high volume and collaborative cross-functional environment

Bonus if you have

  • Hard/Soft Goods manufacturing process familiarity
  • Experience working with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
  • Experience working and communicating directly with supply chain personnel including production engineers and factory liaisons, at offshore factories

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. Stanley is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary. At Stanley, full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual results.
