Position Overview

The accounts payable position is responsible for paying bills in an efficient and timely manner by processing, verifying, and reconciling and recording invoices. 

What You’ll Do

· High volume full-cycle A/P 500-800 invoices per week

· Responsible for converting P.O.’s, remarketing P.O.’s, inventory returns into vouchers

· Responsible for daily oversight of unvouchered P.O., inventory returns and direct shipments

· Assist with data entry for inventory vendors and suppliers

· Reconcile vendor statements, and research/resolve variance or discrepancies in invoices

· Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of internal and external inquiries concerning accounts, including communicating the resolution to the appropriate persons

· Managing vendor purchasing terms

· Provide vendors with Tax Exempt Certificates

· Assist with month end closing as needed

· Perform other tasks as needed

Requirements

Skills We Are Seeking

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable 

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Strong problem solving, research and resolution, data analysis skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
