SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW
Individual plays a key role in the Finance and Accounting administration of the organization. Performs data entry and related operations in posting accounts receivable payments. Resolves credit balances and account problems; post refunds, adjustments and other account transactions. Works closely with the Director, A/R Credit & Collections to ensure monies are collected on a timely basis and in adherence with company policy. Works with the Director, A/R Credit & Collections to complete month and year end closings activities in adherence with GAAP and company policy. Works with the Director, A/R Credit & Collections to maintain a healthy AR customer portfolio (book of business) in adherence with company collection polices.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes invoices for INSP and related entities.
- Prepares miscellaneous invoices as needed.
- Posts cash receipts daily to Accounts Receivable.
- Reconciles cash receipt postings daily to bank deposits.
- Reviews credit balances, refunds, adjustments and applies adjustments to accounts.
- Works closely with programming customers to resolve account differences and customer inquiries.
- Works closely with Sales and Traffic Teams to ensure customer information and invoicing is correct in the Accounts Receivable system.
- Maintains customer information in the Accounts Receivable system.
- Maintains Accounts Receivable reports.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of financial records
- Assists Accounts Receivable Manager in month-end and year- end closings.
- Assists Accounts Receivable Manager in preparing for external audits.
- Assists Accounts Receivable Manager in the credit approval process for programming customers.
- Performs collection related tasks.
- Maintains an assigned AR customer portfolio (book of business) to meet AR collection metrics
- Provides responses to customer credit reference inquiries.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
