Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of various projects within our organization. Will lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and inspire a team of project managers, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, promoting accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one sessions, and performance reviews to provide feedback, set goals, and address any challenges or issues.

Project Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, identifying resource requirements and allocation to support project execution.
• Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project timelines or outcomes.

Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, maintaining open and effective communication to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
• Regularly report on project status, progress, and key metrics to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving consensus to achieve project objectives.

Risk Management and Problem Solving:

• Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
• Proactively address challenges and obstacles as they arise, leveraging problem-solving skills and resourcefulness to keep projects on track.
• Analyze project performance and outcomes, conducting post-mortem reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

Qualifications

• Must have Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
• 12 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience (7 years) in project management, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing project risks and issues.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and a solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe).
