This is an exciting opportunity in the greater Washington, DC area for a Project Manager (Mid-level) to support Department of Navy (DON) initiatives for Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Sustainment (DASN-S) with analysis and planning of acquisition efforts to include identification, development, test, and support transition of modern digital tools and technologies into the Navy acquisition enterprise. This position is a hybrid role; 2-3 days onsite at the Pentagon

• Develop and update Business and Sustainment data system activities, processes, and guidance for accountability across the DON enterprise;
• Coordinate, collect, consolidate, and analyze of information contained in various databases and information collected during data calls for business and sustainment data systems;
• Provide strategic evaluation of business and sustainment data system related issues and support developing strategic plans for improvement initiatives;
• Coordinate, collect, consolidate, and test business and sustainment data systems to problem solve, validate, account for DON requirements and support of Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR);
• Develop training materials for business and sustainment data systems;
• Provide business and sustainment data systems support to include but not limited to hands-on or remote training and job aids;
• Develop and maintain a website to support the DON business and sustainment data systems communities;
• Participate in the review of various business and sustainment data systems (for software releases), and support implementation of correcting functioning software;
• Plan and document meetings, to include providing reports, briefing materials, and tracking actions;
• Assist the government with communications management activities to support liaison across the Secretariat, with the subordinate commands (Services and Budget Submitting Offices) and with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) (including Defense Logistics Agency, US Cyber Command, and Defense Information Systems Agency) offices critical to business and sustainment data systems policy and execution.

Required Skills:

• Must have and sustain a DoD Secret clearance and be eligible for a Top Secret clearance;
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with the acquisition workforce;
• Minimum 4 years of business or finance experience supporting DoD programs and working knowledge of the PPBE process;
• Experience in the following areas: Analyzing financial information in DoD program planning documents and processes; conducting financial analysis and financial risk analysis, identifying, and evaluating financial risks; ability to forecast out five years and recommending management techniques to mitigate risk exposure;
• General knowledge of funding documents;
• General knowledge of automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplish budget and funding tasks;
• Provide recommendations by doing independent research on historical financial information;
• Must possess strong organizational skills with an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
• Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and produce documents or other published works;
• Must possess experience and knowledge of proper handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII);
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a business or management discipline such as business administration, accounting, or finance from an accredited university;
• Able to leverage experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
• Experience with MS Teams and MS SharePoint;
• Familiar with Navy organizations and ranking structures.

Preferred Skills:

• Active DOD Top Secret/Secret Clearance or higher;
• Bachelor’s degree;
• Prior DoD/DoN experience with a strong background in DoD systems and DoD networks;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and DoD program planning.
