Conseqta Technology is Hiring a Project Manager Near Arlington, VA

Arlington, VA (Partial Remote)

As a Project Manager (PM) at Conseqta, you will provide hands-on, advanced project management and support for projects across numerous functional and technical domains. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with clients, senior managers, and technical staff to provide consistent communication and updates on project performance into completion. A successful Sr. PM will be able lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation. He/She will build strong relationships with clients and collaborate with the internal technical team to ensure delivery of solutions to customers.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement effective requirement management practices
  • Design and develop project management plans, define project scope and deliverables, while scheduling and communicating with stakeholder and business partners
  • Convert customer requirements into user stories with defined acceptance criteria, including designing or developing deliverable storyboards
  • Assign and monitor the work of technical personnel, ensuring that projects are aligned with business objectives, on time, and within budget
  • Maintain responsibility for monitoring / documenting system requirements and attending all meetings with both clients and developers on the team to comprehend the details, dependencies, and statuses of all milestones, epics, and features.
  • Raise issues, risks, or decisions to senior management and identify impacts to testing and release milestones as developers communicate schedule delays or propose resequencing or de-scoping epics and features
  • Ensure formal and incremental user acceptance testing (UAT) requirements are delivered, coordinate the release to the production environment upon verification in UAT, and translate completed features and user stories into capability level release notes that are meaningful to the client, management, and users.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience years of experience in an IT Project Management role including significant experience managing medium to large projects containing multiple functional areas; ability to guide technical/delivery/business teams through ambiguity and create and manage plans
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and appropriately escalating delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives
  • 5-7 Experience with client management, communication management, and overall account relationship management
  • Experience understanding and prioritizing requirements gathered from clients
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Advanced problem-solver. Finds simple answers to complex questions or problems
  • Thinks creatively and uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Experience in working with Agile teams and Agile development practices
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field

Desired:

  • Industry recognized Project Management certifications (ie: PMP, etc.)
  • Industry recognized Agile or SAFe certifications (ie: Scrum, SAFe, etc.)
  • Experience working with custom-developed web applications
  • Experience with program management and business development for large scale federal government IT programs with complex IT solutions
