Position Overview:

As a Capacity Development Representative, you are responsible will be domiciled at our Dallas Offices with the following key points:

Job Description:

• Execute negotiations with carriers through prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, and closing deals.
• Convert new relationships into managed, repeat business.
• Analytical thinking and implementation of process efficiencies.
• Carrier relationship management- review sand other carrier meetings.
• Accurate and timely matching of carriers to loads, pricing, tracking/tracing.
• Working productively in a team atmosphere.
• Takes initiative and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to negotiate and close sales.
• Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

• Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of carrier relationships ranging from owner operators to large fleet carriers.
• Demonstrate exceptional understanding of the freight market.
• Highly successful in strategic negotiations.
• Proficient in the following modes:
• Dedicated Dry Van, Refrigerated, Over-Dimensional and Standard Flatbed, Expedited Services
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Time management, organizational, negotiation, and investigation skills.
• Positive can-do attitude,adaptive to change.

• Minimum two years of Capacity/Procurement experience – preferred

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
