SAN BAR CONSTRUCTION is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Albuquerque, NM

Job description

San Bar Construction Corporation is a heavy highway specialty contractor specializing in striping, guardrail installation, sign manufacturing and installation, rumble strip installation and water blasting. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our company. This position will report to the Controller and will be responsible for all functions of the Human Resources department including talent acquisition, personnel matters, compensation administration, benefits, leave, diversity, enforcing company policies and practices, external and internal reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement policies and procedures and best practices to ensure San Bar Construction Corp complies with regulatory requirements
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Lead investigations to resolve issues/conflicts in the workplace
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Employee benefit administration and reconciliation including Health and Wellness, COBRA, Workers Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, 401K and FMLA
  • Provide support to employees and managers by communicating benefit plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Submit annual EEOC reporting
  • Work with Complete Compliance to ensure our CDL drivers are compliant with CDL driver requirements and regulations
  • Point of Contact and Administrator of insurance claims related to accidents and injuries
  • Review and processing of time off requests for payroll
  • Maintain compliance with external reporting requirements
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, Business, or Organizational Development

· 5 years’ experience in HR leadership

· Must be able to keep confidentiality

· Excellent communication skills

· Good interpersonal skills

· Construction experience preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Compensation

· $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Following a conditional offer, employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and completion of a satisfactory background check.
