San Antonio Skilled Trades is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near San Antonio, TX

Immediately hiring an AP Payroll Admin for a large manufacturing company on the southside of San Antonio. Day shift Mon-Fri. Pay is $20-$23/hr. depending on experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
  • Process payroll for all company employees, responsible for accounts payable, as well as assisting with accounting duties.
  • Review/edits the time clock information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact various department supervisors for any missed times or discrepancies.
  • Process weekly payroll.
  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
  • Pull any requested management reports, files State reports.
  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Prepares garnishment checks per reports from payroll.
  • Answer vendor inquiries.
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies
  • Make adjustment to accounts as needed
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • General receptionist duties and administrative support.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • An associate degree in Accounting or minimum of one to two years experience in related Payroll Management
  • Attention to detail.
  • Read, write and communicate in English.
  • Safety conscious behavior
