RTA Group is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Colorado, CO

  • Work as the key HR business partner in support of the assigned region to transform the operation to be a clear competitive advantage in the marketplace focused on our customers and a desirable place to work for our employees.
  • Develop organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues and providing recommendations to establish human resources objectives that are in line with business objectives.
  • Lead special projects to drive, influence and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives that reflect the business strategy.
  • Partner with leaders by providing human resources advice and counsel in handling people decisions.
  • Partner with client group to support the safety culture through return-to-work process management, safe environment, loss avoidance, and safety training.
  • Responsible for overall management of Human Resource compliance programs, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, AAP, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance issues. May conduct difficult employee counseling sessions regarding EEO charges, ADA, union grievances, performance, and termination.
  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. Utilize talent management systems to support an inclusive and diverse culture
  • Drive to improve the effectiveness continuously and efficiency of HR service delivery.
  • Direct union avoidance and labor relations strategies, contract negotiation, grievance resolution, contract interpretation and administration, and hourly workforce effectiveness programs

Requirements

  • Bilingual (fluent in Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Experience using Workday
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum ten years of human resource management experience required with increased levels of responsibility and accountability
  • Prior multi site manufacturing/production experience in large scale heavily matrixed organization.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining positive employee and labor relations programs, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in interpreting collective bargaining agreements, grievance management and assisting management with labor matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships at all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing projects and driving data-based decision-making processes.
  • Anticipate business changes and work proactively to address them.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to manage the needs of the business and HR policies to ensure partnership.
  • Ability to handle both tactical and strategic assignments.
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment but also develop strong HR team relationships.
  • Ability to support a safety culture through return-to-work process management, safe environment, loss avoidance, and safety training.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage networks to implement HR best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and follow through on commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate diverse teams effectively, collaborate and achieve results through strong influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading others, including performance management, coaching, and development within a production environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in promoting an inclusive environment and seeking ways to integrate differences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
