Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Job Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in supporting a well-known Real Estate development company. This is a maternity leave coverage and for the right candidate, could lead to a full time offer in May of 2024. You will help the organization by providing strategic HR guidance, coaching, and mentoring to managers on performance plans. This position is responsible for overseeing HR operations, managing performance initiatives, and contributing to various HR projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience with unions, as well as familiarity with HR software like Workday and ADP Workforce Now.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Coaching and Mentorship:

  • Collaborate with managers to develop and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on effective performance management techniques.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives.

Union Experience (Preferred):

  • If applicable, leverage experience with union interactions to ensure labor relations compliance and positive employee relations.

Handbook Redraft Project:

  • Assist in the final stages of the handbook redraft project, working closely with the HR team to ensure its successful completion.
  • Follow up with employees regarding the new handbook deployment.

General HR Functions:

  • Collaborate with the HR team on day-to-day HR activities, such as employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and managers.

HR Software Expertise:

  • Utilize HR software systems, such as Workday and ADP Workforce Now, for HR record-keeping, reporting, and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree or HR certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on performance management and coaching.
  • Union experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with HR software, particularly Workday and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
