Robert Half is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Chicago, IL

If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.What you get to do every day- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Develop a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections- Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations- Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations- Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures- Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Assess employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
