Key Responsibilities:
  • Recipe Development: Create and develop recipes for a range of desserts and pastries, considering flavor combinations, presentation, and dietary restrictions.
  • Baking and Production: Oversee the production of all pastry and dessert items, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met. This includes mixing, baking, and decorating various pastries and desserts.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the head chef to plan dessert menus that complement the overall theme and cuisine of the establishment. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.
  • Presentation and Plating: Pay careful attention to the presentation and plating of desserts, ensuring they are visually appealing and Instagram-worthy.
  • Special Events: Participate in special events and catering functions, creating customized desserts and pastries as per client requests.
  • Cost Control: Monitor food costs and portion sizes to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
