Rapiscan Systems, part of the OSI Systems Company security division, leverages state-of-the-art technologies: advanced optics, high-resolution cameras, digital imaging processing & machine vision analytic software, and ruggedized hardware assemblies.
The Business Development Manager is to generate leads / opportunities and convert them into sales in the assigned Territory of LATAM for Intelligent Optical Solutions Equipment manufactured by Rapiscan such as Gatekeeper. Specific focus will be in Federal Government verticals such as Customs, Ports, Shipping, Police, Paramilitary, Defense, Aviation and Critical Infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be a polished, influential and articulate sales executive who exhibits a high degree of integrity, ethics and trustworthiness. The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated track record of providing sales and business leadership in a company with revenues of greater than $50 million, and who is comfortable working in a larger matrixed company environment.
Responsibilities- Develop sales and marketing strategies to drive sales growth in LATAM Scheduling appointments, meeting new and existing customers in order to review product requirements and to create opportunities for sales.
- Effective planning, conducting sales presentations to key customers.
- Build relationships and handle major accounts.
- Develop and negotiate terms and conditions for accounts to effectively manage overall profitability at each assigned account.
- Ensure efforts are focused to improve sales strategy, sales performance and customer relationship.
- Achieve sales targets and goals set for the assigned territory
- Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota.
- Business development for new and existing products and services into your territory.
- Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or sales objectives.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in ECE/EEE/ME) or equivalent experience required.
- 7 years plus related experience required.
- Product Selling Knowledge of the Security sector - License plate readers, facial recognition, under vehicle scanners, CCTV, Access, etc.
- Handled customer Police, Military, Government entites, Hotels, Corporate
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Presentable
- Excellent in communication, sales skills, strategic planning, negotiations, networking
- Good in relationship building and key account management
- Willing to travel
- Good command on local languages
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge and information on market, competition, customers, potential opportunitiesPositive attitude, proactiveness and willingness to put in extra efforts
