Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager provides leadership, guidance, and direction into the HR practices of the company. As a one-person HR generalist, the position leads the Human Resources function for the organization to include but not limited to culture and engagement initiatives, policies and procedures, staffing and recruitment, comp and benefits, leadership development, legal compliance and employee relations. Responsibilities:

  • Provides recommendations to senior leadership on HR strategy ensuring alignment with company initiatives.
  • Collaborates across the organization to maximize the engagement of employees and build organization culture strategies.
  • Develops and implements HR policies and procedures and ensures consistent application.
  • Leads the appropriate staffing and recruitment efforts collaborating with hiring managers; manages onboarding and the employee life cycle.
  • Oversees manager / leadership coaching and professional development programs. 
  • Oversees the legal compliance and handling of employees relations concerns and performance management; conducts investigations and recommends resolution.
  • Supports and advises on organizational change management and employee communication initiatives.
  • Manages the compensation program to include wage analysis and determining the pay structure.
  • Manages the HRIS, time tracking, applicant tracking system and ensures integrity of data in all HR-related systems.
  • Administers HR programs to include, but not limited to, worker's comp, safety, benefits administration including open enrollment, leaves-of-absence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum five-years experience as human resources generalist with a solid knowledge of HR functions.
  • Experience working with HRIS, payroll and other employee management software.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • SHRM Certified Professional SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred.
