Primeritus Financial Services is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Nashville, TN
- Process check runs, manual check cutting, EFTs, and credit card payments.
- Code and enter invoices, send weekly payment requests along with subsequent payments for approved payables.
- Complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Process accounts payable disbursements (by check, EFT, and Corporate Amex Card).
- Distribute signed checks as required.
- Analyze vendor accounts and answer related inquiries.
- Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.
- Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor or Controller in month-end closings and as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or similar is preferred. Will accept experience in lieu of college degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable working in a high-volume industry.
- Must be computer savvy and prior experience with NetSuite accounting system is preferred.
- Ideal candidates will have above average skills with MS Office Suite; advanced skills in MS Excel are preferred with the ability to perform v-lookups and pivot tables and use nested formulas and macros.
- Good verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
- This is a full-time, in-person/in-office position.
- Must have predictable attendance.
- The ability to remain alert and engaged.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
- Must be able adhere to process protocol and to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
- Move equipment and objects up to 30 pounds.
