Starting wage: $26 per hour

Position Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for maintaining an efficient HR office environment that provides professional support to associates, guests, and candidates in a timely and courteous manner.

Talent Acquisition

As the HRG, your main responsibility is to support the talent acquisition process by the established guidelines. This includes posting positions, screening hourly candidates, scheduling interviews, and processing offers and post-offer documentation. You will also be responsible for completing reference checks and assisting with candidate outreach, such as attending job fairs. It is important to ensure that interview screening and note-taking templates are being utilized and stored as per Atrium's policies.


Workday Administration

Our HRG will maintain comprehensive employment records and ensure compliance requirements are met through administration via Workday. You will also handle pre-hire checks, onboard new hires, submit terminations, and initiate administrative changes. The HRG will promote the use of the Workday Feedback platform and other communication and recognition tools. You will also be responsible for managing the hourly 90 performance evaluation cycle.

Training:

  • Conduct new hire orientation to facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Track compliance to ensure that all employees complete the required training.

Life Safety and Worker’s Compensation

You will partner with GM and the leadership team to monitor safety topics, ensure OSHA compliance, update safety communication, promote the Shoe for Crews program, and track training/certifications. Follow company policies, report incidents, and complete safety training.

Benefits

As the property contact, you will handle all associate concerns related to their benefits. You will coordinate with Area HRD to administer property leave management, including communication and return-to-work accommodations. Conduct quarterly benefit meetings to promote welfare and benefit programs.

General Administration:

Your role involves facilitating the integration of HR programs and procedures and delivering them through presentations and meetings. You'll also coordinate employee recognition programs and maintain personnel files as designated by the Area HRD.

To ensure that all aspects of the position's main responsibilities are fully met, it may be necessary to undertake additional tasks as required.

Area Director, Human Resource

Qualifications:

Required Prior Experience:

  • 2 years of Human Resources experience
  • 1 year of Recruiting experience

Preferred Prior Experience:

  • 2 years of hospitality industry experience

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of experience and education

Preferred Licenses/Certification:

  • HR professional certification completed or in process

Required Technology:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Technology:

  • Workday experience

Physical:

  • Ability to work at a desk/computer for 8 hours
  • Ability to work independently in a face paced environment
  • Ability to commute to the property
