Pinnacle Pro Logistics is Hiring a Sales Account Manager Near Vancouver, WA

Job description

Pinnacle Pro Logistics is an over the road third-party logistics company that services the United States and Canada. We pride ourselves on the strong relationships we’ve built with our diverse network of carriers from all over the nation. Those carriers then allow us to provide a variety of service and equipment options along with our premier customer service to our customers. Our Sales Account Managers and staff work closely together to ensure the goods get delivered safely and on time, while offering the best customer service in the industry.

Whether you have worked in transportation before or are brand new to the industry, we will train you and give you the tools needed to flourish. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling PPL’s services in order to start and grow your own book of business. We offer a base salary unlimited commission on a sliding pay scale. There is no ceiling to the amount of money you can make. The amount of effort you put in is solely responsible for how much money you take home.

Daily job functions of a Sales Account Manager:

  • Cold calling new customers in effort to develop lead lists
  • Growing and maintaining your book of business through good customer service and constant communication
  • Following up with existing leads in effort to secure new business
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with current customers
  • Quoting customers competitive prices based on current market trends
  • Working with carriers to secure equipment for your loads
  • Tracking loads and communicating updates to customers
  • Collaborating with co-workers in a team-oriented environment
  • Uncover the needs of your customers through active listening and problem solving
  • Negotiating with both customers and carriers for fair freight moving rates

What we look for in a Sales Account Manager:

  • Must be able to start May 6, 2024 in office
  • Must be able to work M-F, 6am-3pm in office at our Vancouver, WA location
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A self-starter mentality
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to allot the proper amount of time to each task
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in negotiations with both customers and carriers
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to step back from a problem and look at different angles to find a solution
  • Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Team player with the ability to multitask
  • Adaptable and able to pivot focus at a moment’s notice
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure and tight deadlines
  • MS office proficiency and the ability to type at least 50 WPM

Training and Onboarding

Here at Pinnacle Pro, we understand the concept that time is money, so we have designed our training to be the most efficient and practical as possible. We get you up to speed with the industry jargon, equipment, and processes with hands-on-training and shadowing with our wonderful team members. The first week of training is more lecture style learning, but since we have found that people learn best by doing - the remainder of the training month is much more learning by trial and error with the guidance of our GMs and team leads.
