Position Purpose:Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company - building lasting relationships with our customers!
As a Coordinator, Transportation, you will play a vital role in ensuring our drivers is equipped with the information needed to deliver all products on time and safely. The Coordinator, Transportation supports the transportation team in improving production processes and maintaining daily business. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:- Tracks, and reports on late routes and assists the team where needed in an administrative capacity
- Answers and coordinates incoming transportation related phone calls.
- Tracks, inputs, and processes driver payroll data. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assist the Manager and Supervisors on filing and data entry
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
6 months in an administrative assistant role
Administrative support performing basic math and computer data entry skills Knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
1 years in transportation environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry
1 year of administrative and payroll experience
