ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Technology Advisory Group builds state-of-the-art people-centric solutions that transform and accelerate the PEAK6 Portfolio. We operate important technology systems efficiently and securely while providing reliable products, services and data-driven analytics. We deliver a unified technology experience throughout the PEAK6 portfolio tailored where necessary to fit each business.
As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will be instrumental in the experience of all our employees throughout the PEAK6 Portfolio. We’re excitedly looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, is resourceful in their problem-solving skills, and is able to think creatively. In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic team, providing exceptional technical support to our employees – both on-site and remotely. You'll tackle a variety of projects that require clear communication and efficient execution.
This is a hybrid role that is based out of PEAK6's Austin, TX office. Hybrid at PEAK6 means an average of 3 days in office per week with 2 flexible work from home days per week.
You’ll be responsible for
Providing onsite, phone, email, and chat support for end-user systems and applications.
Collaborating with team members and leadership, implementing great support processes, procedures, and documentation.
Identifying opportunities for business enablement through smart use of technology.
Tracking and issuing hardware, software, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain software applications used by our employees on both Windows and Mac devices.
Cloud and locally installed applications like Zoom, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence),GSuite, and Microsoft etc.
Performing new hire onboarding, including account creation, computer and desk setup.
Proactively identify and address user needs and concerns to keep them productive and happy. Provide white glove support to senior leadership as needed.
Managing, supporting, and provisioning business applications in a cloud-based environment.
You’ll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:
Experience managing Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Experience with MFA tools, preferably Duo and Okta Verify.
Experience hosting large-scale Video Conferencing events.
Experience with setting up video conferencing hardware (Cisco, Polycom)
Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues (VPN, Radius/VLAN, WiFi).
Comfortable with managing and manipulating directory systems (AD, LDAP).
Basic powershell scripting experience
Experience using command line interface in Windows, Mac
Experience with a ticket-based support platform.
Experience setting up workstations, able to lift 40lbs, understand wiring closets, and test functionality of all hardware.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Document technical issues and resolutions to ensure knowledge sharing and improve future troubleshooting.
