Parsec Education is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Fresno, CA

As the Administrative Assistant to a growing company, you are expected to conform to change easily, take initiative on staff related needs and be the peoples champion. We are looking for candidates who have an upbeat personality, who can rally a team of remote and onsite staff to accomplish and participate in a variety of activities. Who can work creatively and prioritize their time. Most importantly, someone who can be trusted with sensitive information.

Our Administrative Assistant will report to the HR Manager and assist the Executive Coordinator. They will manage the employee facing duties and assist as needed with a variety of projects including but not limited to hiring, assisting with our annual conference, podcast and creation of marketing materials.

This is an hourly position with a scheduled 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking office inventory, including ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries and managing vendor contracts
  • Conducting industry-specific research, including wage analysis
  • Organizing important files and information and updating current documentation
  • Answering phone calls, appropriately forwarding messages and following up on inquiries
  • Occasional travel to perform errands
  • Help coordinate our Annual Conference and employee facing meetings
  • Write well-crafted creative communication to staff
  • Assist in travel arrangements for staff
  • Drafting supporting documentation for presentations
  • Analyze our internal systems and processes and locate areas for improvement/automation
  • Additional duties as assigned

Experience:

  • AA degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Familiar with cloud-based programs such as Google, Slack and Asana
  • Experience in graphic design
  • Podcast production experience is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
