The Nueces Center for MentalHealth and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping theresidents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/orintellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people eachyear with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services,counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homelessoutreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please notethat the job posting rate for this position is $65,229.36 Yr.,the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which aretypically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salarymay be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years ofexperience and qualifications."

Full-Time, 40 Hour WorkWeek, Paid Bi-weekly

General DescriptionWill providepsychotherapy, skills training, and case management as authorized by HHS TRRmodel. Will provide therapy and rehab services using HHS approved curricula.Will perform intake assessments. Works towards positive consumer outcomes byreducing symptoms and increasing level of functioning. Community basedservices.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from anaccredited college or university in the fields of Psychology, Counseling orSocial Work. Must be licensed as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSWby the State of Texas. Must have reliable transportation. May usepersonal vehicle to conduct business. Must have valid driver's license at alltimes, liability insurance and a good driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstration of the clinical competencies required by agency approved standardized training
• Valid Texas Driver's license
• Computer literate
• Ability to participate as a team member.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to assess individuals through interview.
• Knowledge of psychopathology as described in DSM-5
• Experience in the use of counseling techniques to treat persons with mental disorders
• Ability to plan treatment for consumers.
• Abilityto interact effectively with families and other members of the community
