About the Position NRHA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant for the public housing communities of Calvert Square located at 900 Bagnall Road in Norfolk, Virginia. This role performs receptionist and administrative support duties on behalf of an assigned public housing community, interacting with residents, calculating rent amounts, processing work orders; data entry, and assuring proper processing of tenants.

Candidates with prior public housing and rent calculation experience will be preferred.
NRHA will consider equivalent substitutes for education and/or experience, provided that the candidate can demonstrate that he/she has obtained the knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the job.

NRHA offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The hiring pay range for this job classification is from $37,440.00 per year to $46,654.40 per year. The candidate's compensation offer will be determined by the candidate's work history and skill sets. Benefits include VRS retirement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; short- and long-term disability insurance; tuition reimbursement options; public service loan forgiveness; and much more.
NRHA offers a total of $3,000 in new hire payments to new hires in this position. A 90-day employment period is required to qualify for the full payment amount.
