The Research Program Manager is responsible for management of the Research Programs at Nemours Central Florida. It is expected for the qualified candidate to be able to support and assist research faculty with their studies, publications, and support the facilitation and submission of grant submissions. This position is also responsible for providing direct grants administrative and management support to assigned small to medium size research programs/centers to facilitate the needs of the center directors, investigators, and the site administrators in areas such as financial management, strategic planning, staffing and administrative oversight, regulatory assistance, and liaison with various ancillary departments, stakeholders, and research leadership. The Research Program Manager will work closely with the Chairs of the research programs by identifying goals and strategies to grow the research program. Essential Functions:

1. Provide administrative management support for the chair or center director, including coordination of activities across all relevant Nemours sites and prepare quarterly and annual reports as required by grant funding agencies, Nemours, or other regulatory requirements.
2. Serve as a liaison to the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) in preparing grant budgets and the submission of research grants. Work with OSP to assure prompt and accurate accounting related to funded projects.
3. Identify potential grant opportunities and support development of proposals.
4. Provide regulatory oversight for all Center research activities and support center personnel in facilitating research. 
5. Assist with development and tracking of grant budgets/spending, assist with documentation for grant-related purchases (including single source documentation and/or competitive quotes) 
6. Assist with oversight of research coordinator effort on grants as well as other grant-funded personnel
7. Assist with preparation of new grant/project submissions, project/grant renewals, and progress reports
8. Liaison with various ancillary departments (e.g., OSP, IRB, IBC, IACUC)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience required, including clinical research program management.
• Clinical trial experience preferred
• Familiar with preparation of IRB packages for submission preferred
• At least 3 years in a similar role or capacity and demonstration of increased responsibilities
• Masters degree in business/management/operations or health-related field, such as nursing, psychology, social work, public health or related. Administrative experience with federal research grants.
