Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing various clerical tasks and assisting with financial recordkeeping. This is a full-time position. Duties: - Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely payment - Assist with general ledger reconciliation and month-end closing procedures - Prepare and distribute financial reports as needed - Perform data entry tasks, including 10-key typing and inputting financial information into accounting software - Assist with payroll processing using Paychex and Ceridian systems - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records - Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports - Provide support for audits and other financial examinations - Perform other administrative tasks as assigned Experience: - Previous experience in an accounting or finance role preferred - Strong math skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices - Familiarity with technical accounting procedures is a plus - Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Financial acumen and ability to analyze data accurately Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.
