Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As our Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service. If you have a passion for the culinary arts, strong leadership skills, and a background in the food industry, we would love to hear from you.
Our retreat begins June 16 and ends on June 22. You will be our go-to person for this week. B-L-D (and snacks).
Duties:
- Plan and execute menus in accordance with customer preferences and dietary restrictions - daily.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring presentation and taste meet high standards
- Supervise kitchen staff (one assistant), including assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, and monitoring performance
- Manage inventory control to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies are available
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Collaborate with spa leaders to ensure seamless operations
- Oversee food safety practices and compliance with health regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in order to continuously improve menu offerings
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Ability to create innovative menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences
- Proficient in inventory management and cost control
- Knowledge of bartending is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
