Is responsible for performing duties in compliance with recognized policies and procedures. Must be pleasant, respectful and courteous to clients, caregivers and coworkers at all times.

Duties:• Plans and implements structured daily activity program.• Ensures that the activity program meets the needs of each participant.• Responsible for monthly program calendar and meeting with assigned staff to plan and implement programs.• Available to peers as a resource for program development.• Coordinates activities to be implemented for multiple levels of participant's abilities.• Responsible for communication of upcoming events.• Responsible for the preparation and posting of decorations, posters and daily activity schedule. • Meeting Participant and Caregiver needs• Maintains participant caseload which includes participant's plan of care.• Records patient information concerning each participant.• Assists with and/or conducts daily program activities.• Assists participants with activities of daily living• practices environmental safety and sanitation.

JOB SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:• Must have an associate degree or Four-year degree in Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, or another related Field.• One year experience working in recreation with adults with dementi• Generates enthusiasm among participants and be willing to participate in special activities• Performs job duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULEThis full-time health care position works 8-hour shifts. 8am-4:30pm
