The Role and Team

Medallia is looking for a Senior Revenue Analyst to join its Revenue Accounting team. This individual will support the revenue accounting team during the monthly close process, assist in preparing financial board reporting packages, collaborate cross-functionally, and play an integral role in system and process improvements. • Responsible for performing various accounting close activities including, but not limited to, processing sales orders to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies, assisting in the completion of various month end checks, performing monthly revenue flux analysis, journal entry preparation and submission, account reconciliations, etc.
• Assist the Professional Services revenue team in ensuring agreements are processed in accordance with US GAAP and company policies, including the review of revenue recognition for fixed fee projects using percent of completion method.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key revenue data that is reported to management in our monthly board reporting packages.
• Assist in ensuring audit deliverables are complete and delivered in a timely manner
• Assist in SSP and highly variable analyses.
• Actively identify opportunities for process improvement or operational automation in existing system infrastructure.
• Focus on partnering with key stakeholders (Order Management, AR, Deal Desk, Finance, GTM) to ensure processes and systems are optimized with the objectives of Medallia.
• Maintain documentation for all business processes and compliance related work.
• Lead and assist with other special projects as needed; drive projects to successful completion.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of public accounting experience or 2 years of revenue/technical accounting experience in a SaaS company or a combination of both
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification with US GAAP experience
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• Experience within a Big 4 public accounting firm
• Working proficiency of NetSuite, Salesforce and Tableau
• Experience with NetSuite implementation
• Demonstrated proficiency with ASC 606 revenue recognition under US GAAP for multiple element arrangements including on-premise software licenses as well as SaaS arrangements
• Experience with integration of acquisitions including order to cash processes
• A highly productive self-starter with very strong work ethic
• Strong accountability and detail oriented; prepares accurate and timely work product
• Ability to work independently and thrive, and be a team player
• Strong interpersonal, communication and messaging skills

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $93,000 - $159,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.
