This position will be responsible for the administration and execution of HR related programs and employment initiatives, with an emphasis on recruitment/hire and also performs other functions, including, policy development, benefits and compensation, performance management, talent management, diversity and inclusion, training and development, employee relations, and investigations.
Position Summary
Advises and guides management in all areas of Human Resources (“HR”). Contributes to the design, implementation and management of HR programs aligned with business initiatives. Manages various HR functions and collaborates with key stakeholders and legal to ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with local, state, and federal requirements.
Essential Duties
- Designs and leads talent acquisition functions, includes: drafts legally compliant job descriptions, posts jobs, prescreens candidates, builds and develops a candidate pipeline for key functions, drafts and extends employment offers, handles recissions and provides strategic guidance on maximizing workforce talent.
- Creates and delivers new employee orientation for all new hires and collaborates with management to ensure a successful onboarding.
- Provides timely, pragmatic advise on a wide array of labor and employment matters including, hiring, discipline, terminations, benefits and compensation, leave of absences, accommodations, payroll, workers’ compensation and safety matters.
- Leads and supports day-to-day performance management (e.g., talent management, learning and development; succession planning; performance management and engagement).
- Manages the reasonable accommodation process, including engaging in the interactive process and working with management to determine potential accommodations.
- Conducts investigations (high risk), inclusive of interviewing, data/evidence analysis, disciplinary/remedial action, and report writing.
- Quarterly analyzes employee relations data (exits, hotline, employees issues raised) and proposes corrective actions on employee relations, retention and turnover, and develops corrective measures that supports best HR and business practices.
- Drafts and delivers training on a variety of employment topics (leaves and accommodations, hiring right, timekeeping compliance, etc.).
- Reviews policies and processes and collaborates with Legal to update and rollout updated policies.
- Participates in key HR initiatives including staffing, performance management, compensation strategies, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, benefits, recruitment and retention, organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborates with Legal to ensure HR practices are compliant with laws and regulations, as well as leverages best practices in human resources and talent management.
Marginal Duties
- Responds to employees’ requests for personnel records.
- Attend Human Resources training to keep abreast of labor and employment laws and best practices in HR.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree preferably in Human Resources, business or related field
- 5 - 8 years HR experience; solid understanding of current labor and employment laws
Certificates and Licenses
- PHR, SPHR or other HR certification preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex employment related concepts in an easily understood manner.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to influence and motivate key stakeholds toward the completion of tasks and business objectives.
- Solid knowledge and application of labor and employment laws and HR practices.
- Excellent problem solving, leadership and execution skills.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with management to guide them through performance management and employee relations matters.
- Knowledge and experience with benefits programs and the relevant laws and regulations that govern them, including medical, dental, vision, life, short and long term disability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong prioritization skills in a faced-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently or collaborating with a team; self-starter with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in human resources, labor employment law, training, business or related fields;
- 7 years HR related experience where consulting, culture, performance management, training, general understanding of employment law, compensation and benefits, organization capacity and general human resources skills have been gained.
- 1 years people management experience.
