RESPONSIBILITES AND SPAN OF AUTHORITY

  • Enters, maintains, and processes information in the payroll system; information may include processing new hires and terminations, salary changes, and other information.
  • Submit Worker’s Compensation claims and respond to Worker’s Compensation audits.
  • Respond to Unemployment claims.
  • Keep employees’ files complete and updated to include electronic files.
  • Reach out to employees regarding training certificates, licenses and other documents.
  • Assist with recruiting process and candidate tracking
  • Oversee international candidate program and all related VISAs
  • Conduct and organize new hire orientation training 2x a month or as needed for new hires.
  • Educate and communicate company personnel policies and procedures to newly hired and current employees.
  • Responsible for onboarding newly hired employees to include: employee handbook overview, employment documents, and benefit enrollment.
  • Assist with company benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications and eligibility of applicants.
  • Record and maintain data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, change of statuses, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience using ADP preferred.
  • Full time on-site position
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Two years of HR experience preferred.
  • Candidates with experience working in a similar restaurant setting will be given preference.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
  • Ability to traverse safely through the different restaurant areas and walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to comply with all health and safety policies.
