Key position functions include the following:

• Manage the Quality Assurance department per API Q1 and product specs API 6A and API 17D
• Manage Quality Control and Quality Assurance staff
• Act as Management Representative to oversee and maintain the critical-to-quality workflow process throughout the facility and ensure continuous improvement of that process
• Work with Corporate Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with Corporate procedures and policies
• Liaise with Department Managers to ensure that process improvements are being implemented
• Schedule and lead Management Review meetings
• Maintain Quality Manual and Operating Procedures that govern specific aspects of the critical-to-quality workflow process, and ensure or provide training on processes and procedures
• Direct interface with Customers to address Quality issues and concerns for all projects
• Supervise and assist in all required inspections of materials, sub-components, finished products, vendor buy-out items, and quality issues arising in production
• Oversee material and component receivables (incoming inspection) and approve MTR documents
• Manage Non-Conformances, establish quality targets, and manage data pertaining to quality targets
• Responsible for the approval of inspection documents including NDE testing as per applicable specifications
• Establish and maintain inspection equipment calibrations and all other QC controlled items on the shop floor
• Assist in maintenance and approval of work order process travelers (routings)
• Conduct internal audits (all departments other than QC) and act as Management Representative for external audits. Conduct external (vendor) audits of machine, welding, and heat treat shops
• Assure Inspection department documents are properly controlled and traced
• Reinforce all applicable company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Preferred candidate will have a combination of the following:

• Minimum 10 years of experience with quality systems pertaining to the manufacture of oilfield equipment
• Extensive practical knowledge of, and experience with subsea wellhead equipment
• Detailed knowledge of industry codes and standards, including API, ANSI / ASME, DNV, and NACE
• Leadership/supervisory experience combined with a high degree of professionalism
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
• Proven ability to resolve schedule conflicts
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Skilled use of PC software tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Commitment to quality and workplace health & safety above all else
