Marshes Skidaway Island is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Savannah, GA

The Marshes of Skidaway Island is recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator.

Here are a few of the responsibilities of a HR Coordinator:

  • Recruitment - preparing weekly job posting and updating applicant tracking system, greeting applicants, screening resumes/applications, preparing new hire paperwork, checking references, validating new hire information and entering new hire data.
  • Onboarding - works with managers and employees through the new hire process and orientation to foster an engaging onboarding experience. Coordinates and manages new hire orientation.
  • Compliance - Tracking employee qualifications, records management, updating HRIS system, notifying managers of non-compliance etc.
  • Employee Benefits - Track and meet with new hires and benefits eligible employees and assist with benefit enrollment. 
  • Administrative Support - Provide administrative support including but not limited to filing, distributing mail and information, posting open positions and program information, processing invoices, monthly newsletter development and distribution, answering routine mail and employment verifications etc. 
  • Employee Support - maintains basic knowledge of HR processes, policies, programs and serves as a resource to employees and managers on routine human resource functions. 
  • Employee Engagement - Coordinates the Employee Engagement committee, employee of the month program and various recognition programs.

Here are a few of the qualifications you need to have:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years administrative experience; prefer a minimum of two years’ experience working in a Human Resources Office.
  • Prefer candidates with experience in recruiting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to relate well to people. Good listening skills required.
  • Must be multi-task oriented and be able to coordinate projects appropriately to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher. Experience working with various HRIS programs preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a self-starter.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
