Morris Multimedia, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Manager to plan and administer the Human Resources function for our privately owned Company that operates multiple businesses in nine states in the U.S. with a concentration in the Southeast. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work with local HR contacts at our various operating subsidiaries to support Human Resources activities.
- Administer employee benefit plans, including 401k, medical and other Company-sponsored and/or provided plans;
- Administer payroll system and coordinate/communicate changes with local HR contacts;
- Assist employees through regular communication with the HR contacts at MMI Businesses regarding all employee benefit plans and wellness initiatives;
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate annual benefit plan enrollment;
- Work with benefit plan brokers and advisors in planning and analysis of the plans, as well as plan renewals.
- Year-end census reporting;
- ACA compliance and recordkeeping;
- Coordination and communication with medical and workers compensation insurance provider(s);
- Advise managers on HR issues with staff, including consulting with employment attorney, mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures;
- Updating employee handbook as needed;
- Plan, organize, gather information and facilitate benefit plan audits and respond to inquiries from auditors;
- Occasional travel to operating units for onsite communication, HR audits, etc.
- Process payroll for three corporate entities;
- Plan, facilitate and participate in interviews for open corporate positions;
- Assist with other HR programs and projects.
- Prior human resources experience required, including payroll and benefit administration programs;
- 2-4 year college degree in a related field is required;
- Familiarity with ADP, UKG or a similar payroll system;
- Fluid in Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable with spreadsheet creation and maintenance; Outstanding organization and communication skills (written and oral);
- Outstanding customer service and response time.
