Marino, a full-service strategic communications firm, seeks a driven and experienced publicist for a Senior Account Executive role in the agency’s thriving corporate communications and lifestyle unit. 

Ideal candidates are self-starters who can successfully develop, manage and execute multi-faceted communication plans for highly complex clients, including media relations, stakeholder engagement, digital and social media, and other communications tactics. Key qualifications for candidates include: ability to effectively manage day-to-day account activity, highly relevant related experience, attention to detail, strategic thinking, ability to multi-task and deliver work product on tight timelines, and creativity.

Responsibilities:

• Executing on strategic communications plans that employ a range of communication tools and tactics to help clients achieve goals
• Managing the account team’s day-to-day activity on tight timelines while managing multiple priorities
• Pitching and placing on-message stories in a wide range of targeted media outlets
• Executing multiple client deliverables including the writing and development of press releases, pitches, media advisories, memos, op-ed pieces and bylined articles
• Overseeing the responsibilities of account team’s junior members
• Interacting with and presenting to clients on a regular basis
• Building on existing relationships and creating new connections with reporters and members of the media
• Cultivating talent and assisting in junior staff mentoring/development

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ agency or comparable experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective organizational skills
• Skilled at time management and prioritization
