Mad City Windows and Baths is looking for an Human Resources Assistant to join our growing Human Resources team in Madison! The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for understanding and application of HR policies and procedures for new job offers, on-boarding, and first day orientation. They will also assist with daily HR tasks including managing emails, maintaining accurate and up to date HR files, and the tracking and oversight of initial and ongoing compliance requirements for employees in the marketing, operations and call center with background screenings and drug testing

Essential Functions: 

• Answering employee questions and maintaining employee personnel files
• Maintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
• Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collectedand maintained
• Sending offer letters and processing onboarding paperwork
• Communicating with new hires on details regarding new hire date/training
• Providing new hires with manuals, guidelines and passwords as needed
• Detailing all new hire tasks and answering all inquiries
• Ensuring all new hires have the necessary tools to get started
• Gathering and imputing all information into employee database platforms

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Human Resources or equivalent experience
• An articulate and professional demeanor
• Humble self-motivation and discipline
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
