The Accounts Payable Specialist is a member of the FCA team responsible for processing all LCG invoices for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This position is remote work.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
Process all vendor payments in compliance with vender agreements and terms, financial policies, and procedures
Set up and maintain vendors, payment terms, and vendor ACH account information in Deltek Costpoint
Review, code, and electronic process payments for all vendor and subcontractor invoices
Reconcile consultant invoices to LCG semi-monthly timesheets
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
Work with vendors to ensure timely receipt of invoices, ACH, and W-9 information
Work with LCG approval personnel to receive invoice payment approvals
Prepare EFT reports and files for payment and upload to the bank
Post all cash disbursements (checks, EFT, and manual check payments) within Deltek Costpoint
Audit and process electronic expense reports in Deltek Time and Expense
Process Honorarium payments
Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements
Work with external auditors and process audit requests in a timely and accurate manner
Process Form 1099’s at year-end
Assist with monthly status reposts, accruals, and monthly closing
Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies
Assist with preparation for annual audits
Perform other duties as required to support the FCA Department
Qualifications:
College diploma or university degree in accounting/finance or 2 to 5 years equivalent work experience in Accounts Payable .
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and general office practices and procedures.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and data and maintain detailed financial records and files.
Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and Deltek Costpoint are required.
Requires excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
Demonstrated skill in handling fast-paced and often competing pressures on one's time.
Confidentiality and tact are required.
Familiarity with ADP’s WorkMarket is a plus.
