Account Payable Specialist
Rockville, MD
MUST:
Experienced Accounts Payable Specialist
5 years of accounting experiencing in an corporate environment
Knowledge of QuickBooks and account payable best practices
Strong filing and GL skills
Must be team player
Experience handling expense and travel reports and interfacing with employees to ensure completion
Proficient in Microsoft Word or Excel
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well with others
Highly organized and able to multitask and prioritized
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
DUTIES:
Duties include process expense and travel reports, vendor invoices, weekly cash disbursements (both electronic and paper), maintaining filing, and cash processing
Will work with accounting group in an team environment to assist with various GL needs
Review receipts and prepare vouchers for the company credit cards
Review daily bank cash deposits and credit activity
Prepare appropriate vouchers or cash receipt postings
Prepare and process bank EFT, positive pay and automated payments
Maintain accurate and current vendor and employee files
Interface with internal and external customers to facilitate payment processes
Other duties as assigned
