Group/DivisionWith over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and efficiently. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), responsible for crafting all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the most creative research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.
The LS-SWIFT Division of KLA's GPG provides patterned wafer inspection systems for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Its mission is to deliver market-leading cost of ownership in defect detection for a broad range of applications in the production of semiconductors. Customers from the foundry, logic, memory, automotive, MEMS, sophisticated packaging and other sectors rely upon high-sample wafer inspection information generated by LS-SWIFT products. SWIFT (Simultaneous Wafer Inspection at Fast Efficiency) systems deliver all-wafer-surface macro inspection that is critical for automotive IC, MEMS, and sophisticated packaging processes as well as foundry/logic and memory fabs.
LS-SWIFT operates from a global footprint that includes the US, Singapore, India and Germany, and serves a worldwide customer base across Asia, Europe and North America.
Job Description Responsibilities:Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) respond to ongoing technical issues of KLA equipment where field product support teams were unable to solve. Working on challenging problems requires in-depth system knowledge and a sound understanding of operating principles.
Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, and techniques for achieving results.
As the need arises, collaborate with specialists and other teams to craft an optimized plan of action to resolve the technical issues and recover equipment functionality to customer happiness.
Document solving processes and technical findings to generate service reports and presentations.
40%-60% travel (domestic and international)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Optical components, lasers and electronics
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience or Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years or 6 years related work experience.
