Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 years' experience in mining, industrial process water / wastewater treatment, a high degree of computer literacy, good time management and priority setting skills; flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Looking for seller/doers in traditional markets such as refining and chemicals, upstream, power, and mining. Experience in energy transition markets such as renewable diesel and hydrogen is a plus.
  • Contribute to project teams by working with subject matter experts to apply and develop knowledge and skills in areas that focus on industrial water/wastewater treatment.
  • Roles may include project management or technical lead roles for treatability studies, pilot studies, water/ wastewater sampling and analysis, wastewater treatment alternatives evaluation, regulatory permitting, and pollution prevention evaluations.
  • Lead and or contribute to developing new business opportunities from conceptual phase work through EPC. Experience developing concession design build operate, design build finance operate is a plus.
  • Endeavor to understand the customer's need and how the project relates to other elements of the client's organization and to other projects.
  • Have excellent organization skills and are able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and under deadline pressure.
  • Are detail-oriented, able to follow instructions and to communicate with staff to understand assignments or seek clarification as necessary.
  • Have a strong desire to become a consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter that takes initiative, is adaptable, and provides a high quality of work).
  • Participate in achieving a Target Zero safety plan.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or other related engineering or science discipline,
  • At least 12 years of combined experience in consulting and detail design process engineering, business development, and project management, of water and wastewater management for industrial clients, particularly mining clients.
  • Understanding of business principles for selling and delivering consulting and design projects and related project delivery tools and metrics.
  • Experience managing proposals through commercial closure.
  • Abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel across North America and worldwide.
