Overview

 We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Human Resources Coordinator for our Texas region, based in our Houston, TX office. (NO REMOTE WORK OR HYBRID SCHEDULES)

Responsibilities

• Leads new hire onboarding and orientation process including: managing HRIS system for new hires; background checks and drug tests; new hire paperwork; conducting orientation sessions; and assisting with other integration activities
• Serve as a benefits point-of-contact by responding to questions and educating employees on company benefit programs
• Process leave of absence requests, workers compensation claims, and accommodations requests in coordination with HR Generalists
• Collaborates with the region’s Young Professional Forum leaders to plan activities, and brainstorming ideas for growth
• Ensure federal and state regulation compliance
• Consult with partners on general employee relations concerns, performance management, terminations, team-building, complaint/conflict resolution, and career development.
• Develop and facilitate multiple training and integration oriented programs 
• Provide occasional recruiting support throughout region
• Manage region-wide HR projects and serve on firm-wide HR project committees
• Assist the region’s HR Generalists with processes and projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• 1-3 years of HR-related experience required
• Interest in obtaining PHR or SHRM-CP certification after experience requirements met
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications
• Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and relationship building
• Excellent organization and follow-through skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with limited daily supervision
• Ability and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the firm, to meet goals
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Experience with UKG Pro or other HRIS a plus
• Potential for future travel of 10% within the Texas Region, with the possibility of sporadic overnight travel
