Position: Strategic Account Executive, Education, K-12

As part of the Education & Workforce Development sales team, the EDU Strategic Account Executive will target, pursue, nurture, and close large and/or strategic academic partnerships. This role will have a strong focus on K-12, although may be presented with opportunities in higher education and workforce development as appropriate.

This position is fully remote. Location is flexible within the United States. Our office is in Austin,TX if you are local! January 2024 start date.

What you will sell: EdTech

Help prepare the next generation of skilled workers with SkillMill™, the world's leading Skilled Trades training platform. Digital training simulations and VR develop on-the-job skills quickly and efficiently, preparing learners for better careers and better lives in these essential occupations.

What you'll do:

  • Leverage deep academic expertise and relationships to drive our K-12 strategy and marketshare
  • Build and manage a book of business through outbound prospecting as well as inbound leads
  • Actively manage the sales process, including prospecting, building relationships, nurturing contacts, product demos, and closing sales
  • Set sales targets and specific performance metrics, aligned with business strategies in focus segments
  • Generate innovative ideas to support customers and boost brand awareness
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of our product, industry, and sales process
  • Individual contributor (there are no management responsibilities in this role)

Requirements:

  • 3 years proven success selling into academic programs (K-12 focus)
  • Familiarity with funding & procurement processes
  • Experience negotiating and executing large, multi-year contracts
  • Bonus points for familiarity with pre-apprenticeship & apprenticeship pathways
  • Bonus points for experience with Skilled Trades or CTE

Pay: $180,000 OTE ($90,000 base salary/ $90,000 uncapped variable commission)
