Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in our Tampa Bay office. Our ideal candidate must be experienced building new client relationships and actively prospecting new leads to expand our market opportunities across the state of Florida as well as the southeastern United States. This candidate should have a proven sales track record in the construction industry as well as the ability to consistently build trustful relationships with customers and colleagues alike to promote the iConstructors brand.

Responsible for developing our overall sales strategy for the company’s various divisions, leading a business development program in its execution, and establishing & maintaining business relationships for the purpose of driving growth and developing profitable relationships that result in securing new construction and professional services contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively research, solicit, and vet new projects from various client sources throughout Florida and expand our market territory into the Southeastern United States; Projects should range in the approx.. desired market of $500k-$10million in the following market sectors- Corporate Office Renovations, Retail Developments, Financial Institutions, Educational, Hospitality and Healthcare

•Must be experienced building new client relationships and actively prospecting new leads to expand our market opportunities across the United States

• Report to Executive management weekly with new project pursuits and marketing opportunities

• Build, Establish and Maintain relationships with numerous clients, suppliers, vendors, and industry contacts as well as fostering relationships with existing client base

• Explore potential new projects for size, scope, location, and feasibility relative to our business model

• Assist in constructing a comprehensive list of clients, potential clients, and approved relationships for future business opportunities

• Be a detail-oriented, proactive executor and help coordinate and manage regional marketing efforts including proposals, presentations, event planning, and qualification packages

• This role will predominantly work from the central office, but will involve traveling throughout Florida to meet with new and existing clients as needed

• Research and execution for brand awareness activities - awards, conferences, sponsorships, regional industry associations, media placements, speaking engagements, direct or electronic mail, and advertising

• Attend industry trade shows and other associations’ meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects

• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with iConstructors marketing, estimator, project manager, and senior management team

• Ability to assist executive team with our business marketing program consisting of RFQ’s, RFP’s and expertise in providing digital presentations to prospective external clients

Competencies/Skills Required

• Knowledge in Salesforce, Adobe Pro/Bluebeam, MS Office and the ability to learn new innovative technologies that will enhance the brand of iConstructors

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Experience with maintaining company website and the ability to improve our marketing platforms with graphic design software

• Strong writing, editing, layout, organizational, and time management skills.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in construction preferred and/or experience in AEC related fields

• Must possess an existing extensive database of contacts throughout the A/E/C industry to make contact with and procure job leads that match the company business model

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience working in the construction industry and/or private business development

• Strong communication skills with variety of roles and degrees of expertise.

• Broad and in-depth business background with a reasonable working knowledge of the technical aspects of design/build construction

• Willingness to travel If and when necessary

• Technical sales experience in the construction industry with a successful track record

Valid Driver License, good driving record, and properly insured vehicle are required.
