Hitachi Energy is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

General Information: The Inside Sales Representative is a technically trained individual involved with the execution of Inside Sales programs. He/she works directly with customers, account managers and the Hitachi Energy product groups. The Inside Sales organization is responsible for the development and implementation of proactive programs responding to customer requirements, assisting in achieving equitable solutions as well as the co-ordination of investigations of complaints. The overall mission of the Inside Sales Organization is to provide a consistent base for support as measured by internal and external customer satisfaction indices (net promoter – NPS). Your Responsibilities: Inside Sales Representative works hand-in-hand with outside Account Manager in managing the customer relationship(s). Responsible for the execution of daily customer activities including order entry and tracking; order management with local business units, including timely response to customers inquiries with appropriate Hitachi Energy solution; quantify and resolve customer complaints and needs with little supervision. Utilize Hitachi Energy‘s tools and processes including product configuration tools, order entry and business systems. Responsible for order tracking and communication of on-time customer delivery. Coordinate input from other Hitachi Energy product groups to develop bids responsive to customer requirements. Simultaneously process information on multiple and varied projects and respond effectively to changes in priorities. Write complete proposal documents and revise contract documents, as required. Compile data for reporting contract scope, terms, cost and profitability. Attend both customer and internal meetings to exchange information and analyze contract requirements. Participate in investigating technical problems and establishing procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences. Duties may require domestic or international travel. Execute change orders and expedite collection of overdue invoices. May require periodic customer-specific reporting for outstanding orders, Vendor Managed Inventory or Blanket Order management. Your Background: Three (3) years of customer support experience in the Industrial, EPC, Utility or related fields; five (5) years preferred. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. General knowledge of Power Transmission & Distribution products/systems, and Power Generation preferred. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. Previous experience with business-to-business customer support preferred; Must have knowledge and skill in utilization of CRMs and web portals. Knowledge of programs such as SAP and SFDC (Salesforce.com) are preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Personal qualities: Results-driven and a proven problem-solver. Ability to independently manage large number of concurrent customer orders and quotations in alignment with best practices. Ability to work across cultures. Develop and maintain solid customer and internal partner relationships. Highly developed communication. Effective working within a team.
