Assists in implementing a program to increase the number of HISD students who successfully attend and graduate from selective colleges and universities. Delivers EMERGE programming to HISD students and works directly with parents and school administrators to ensure that the goals of the program are met. Coordinates various EMERGE events and summer programs that supplement school-year programming.
1. Creates, organizes, orchestrates, and monitors plans to promote college readiness and the successful attendance of HISD graduates at selective colleges and universities.
2. Works with various departments and campuses to keep project plans on track.
3. Implements programming and curriculum at school sites to ensure that top-tier acceptance and graduation goals are met.
4. Provides individualized assistance to students in the program throughout the college and financial aid application process.
5. Promotes the EMERGE program at school sites and leads student recruitment for designated campuses.
6. Collaborates with the team to design, evaluate, and enhance programming and curriculum.
7. Coordinates and supports EMERGE events, including college visits, New Student Orientation, Senior Celebration, financial aid workshops, etc..
8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree

Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.
